In 2018, Sound of C launched the first ever Travel Blog Award Show in Belgium. The goal is to raise the level of blog content on the Belgian market and to motivate and reward travel bloggers in Belgium. Bloggers can enroll for three of the below categories.

A professional jury of travel writers and tourism professionals will decide on the nominees - nominees will be announced by January 10, 2020

Our professional jury decides on the winners - winners are being announced at Bloggers UTD on February 1, 2020.

During the course of 2020, the winning articles will also be featured on the website of mediapartner VAB-Magazine.


Audience Choice Award: for this award there is a public voting. Bloggers cannot apply for this award. The nominees will be selected based on the high scores of our judges. From January 10, 2020 onwards, the voting will be opened. Soon more!

After studying Communication Sciences and Languages & Business Management at KU Leuven, Britta has been publishing editor and editor-in-chief of Travel Express Benelux (the oldest tourist trade magazine in the Benelux) and owner of the travel website Travel Like A for 14 years. As such, she is well aware of all aspects of the travel industry. In addition, she is also a travel specialist for various Belgian national newspapers, magazines and other media. Britta travels around the world for travel reports and has visited about 120 countries. In addition to writing those reports and leading her magazine and website, Britta is also intensively and creatively engaged in travel photography and social media.

Florie Wilberts

Coordinator press, promotion and partnerships at Visit Mechelen

Florie has been working with Visit Mechelen for about 10 years. Over the course of these years her sentence most heard, might actually be ‘Mechelen? I don’t know what or where that is.' Often overlooked and sometimes in the shadow of cities such as Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp, Florie and her team have implemented a strategy that focuses on awareness and rests on partnerships with traditional media, and brand ambassadorships with online content creators and influencers. As such, she represents the travel brand you work with. Her motto being ‘Ask not what we can offer you! Ask how we can bring out the best for both the travel brand and your community.’ A fair amount of her time is spent reading travel stories – preferably with a coffee and some chocolate at hand  – and sniffing out high quality content. She believes that a true connection between the brand and the influencer makes for the best and most credible results.

Jan has been working at VAB for more than 30 years. In the beginning, he was responsible for operational and strategic marketing and brand management. Five years ago, he became editor in chief at VAB-Magazine. Together with his editorial team, he reoriented the magazine focusing on the core business of VAB, which is tourism and mobility.
